May, 2014 Electronic Magazine – Computer Tuesday, May 20 2014

Still thinking in black and white? The days of green and amber monitors are well past, as is unaffordable color computer copies. We live in a color world and while you may not be able to afford a full color printed book, consider using color in your sales items. Always check the price difference between color and black and white (from letterhead and envelopes to flyer and bookmarks) – the margin of savings may not equal the value loss.

May, 2014 Electronic Magazine – Marketing Tuesday, May 20 2014

If you plan a virtual tour, don’t forget to market it! Just like having a book store signing, it can’t be a success if people don’t know it’s happening. Please, plan to do something different with every stop – even if it is just shifting the focus of Q&A topics (one stop, research, another history, another writing, another family, another future work, etc.). If visitors find themselves presented with the same things, they will be more hesitant to follow you.

Camera-Ready Digital Print Manuscript (CRDPM):/Camera-Ready Copy Machine Manuscript (CRCMM): hard copy/document feedable (* no paste up, attachments, gummy labels, etc.), single sheets printed one side, all same size, with binding margin (if desired). Many times, these will need to be digitized for optimum quality. Note: two sided manuscripts can sometimes create copy difficulties, therefore, we discourage such practices. Please note that all forms of reproduction will loose some clarity.
