Smaller genealogy formats:  work with your printer/publisher on the best overall size book to suit both the text material and your budget.  For genealogy books, we find the more standard size that is most economical is our standard 8½x11″.  However, we are asked quite frequently to do both 6×9″ and 7×10″ books.  While most printers can do any size 8½x11″ and under quite easily, many times a 6×9″ book that has 200 pages, a 7×10″ with 200 pages, and a 7×10″ with 200 pages all cost the same per book.  Sometimes a custom size, though smaller even costs more.  Additionally, if you maintain a nice margin area, one normally pays for fewer printed pages in larger formats.
